The Supergirl Australian release date is December 6, 2015 with the television program appearing on Foxtel’s Fox8 channel. Supergirl’s first episode will air at 8:30pm which will be a Sunday (December 6). Foxtel has secured the exclusive rights to the program in Australia.
Supergirl is a story set in the Superman Universe from the DC comic book world. Supergirl is the cousin of Superman, Clark Kent. Her name is Kara Zor-El, she escaped Krypton similarly to Clark Kent and was able to survive the planet exploding. Similar to Superman she wears a blue and red suit and spend her time saving people when she can and also working on the side in a full time job.

Supergirl, Kara Zor-El will be played by Melissa Benoist who has had quite a few small roles in various film and TV series, with her longest recurring role being Marley Rose in Glee. The TV series also stars Mehcad Brooks, Chyler Leigh, David Harewood, Calista Flockhart and Jeremy Jordan.
According to IMDB the first season of this TV series will be 13 episodes.
