“The Sims 4: Parenthood” Game Pack Review
ShareShareShareShare

title

The Sims 4: Kids Stuff is the second of the two exciting packs from The Sims team released in June. This time we get to spoil our mini Sim-selves. You know, that time your Sim Self got pregnant from woo-hooing with the Sim version of *insert celebrity here*…? Well, now they’re all grown up, they can do other things than going to school and being your own personal maid.

While Kids Stuff is packed with new furnishings and decorations, there is no new build mode content. But that aside, the new objects are quite special. One decoration piece that really stood out to me was the beautiful butterfly wall art with almost too many colour variations, and one object called a Hippopottoman… it just makes me giggle saying it out loud. The pinnacles of the Stuff Pack are the new toys that are included; “Voidcritters Battle Station” and “Punchinello’s Theatre of Fine Puppetry”.

“VoidCritters” Battle Station is the cool and futuristic toy that your Sims are dying to get their little hands on. Collect “VoidCritters” from purchasing trading packs from the computer, “level up” your collection by training on the Battle Station or kick your sister’s butt in battle mode. Sound familiar?
Punchinello’s Theatre of Fine Puppetry classic playtime to The Sims 4. Family members and friends will sit around and watch as the little ones act out stories with hand puppets. This brings back lots of childhood memories for me. Super cute!

clothes

When it comes to the new clothes that Kids Stuff offers, the girls have some great options including styles such as chic, cute or tomboy. I feel that the boys got left out in the rain for this pack when it comes to the new clothes. Filled with the usual ripped jeans and sports gear, personally I would love to see something trendy or fancy for my boys. The latest Sims 4 update allows Cross Gender dressing, which means you can choose masculine or feminine for any outfit. I cant help if my little dude looks amazing in a blue princess dress!

The quality of the content in The Sims 4: Kids Stuff is pretty good. It does leave one to think about what The Sims 4 creators have in mind for future packs, but right now my kids are content which means so am I. Oh, and one more thing… make sure to check under the bed before you go to sleep tonight. You never know what might be lurking under there.
