This week on Blu-ray: Australia gets three new titles while America only gets one. Who walks out victorious? Let’s find out:
AUSTRALIA RELEASES
Red 2 comes to Blu-ray this week. The Bruce Willis action comedy had an $84 million budget and made $142 million worldwide making the film a box office failure.

R.I.P.D. comes to Blu-ray this week. The Jeff Bridges-Ryan Reynolds action/adventure had a $130 million budget and made $78.3 million worldwide making the film a box office failure. Two Blu-rays are available: one with a 3D copy and one without but both versions come with an Ultraviolet copy.

The Smurfs 2 comes to Blu-ray this week. The Family Comedy had a $105 million budget and made $347.5 million worldwide making the film a box office success. Three different Blu-rays are available: one with a 3D and Ultraviolet copy, one with a DVD and Ultraviolet, and one with just the Ultraviolet.

AMERICA RELEASES
Runner Runner comes to Blu-ray this week. The Justin Timberlake-Ben Affleck thriller had a $30 million budget and made $62.6 million worldwide making the film a box office success. The Blu-ray comes with a DVD and Ultraviolet copy.

That’s it for this week on Blu-ray. According to Rotten Tomatoes, Australia’s films average out to a terrible 23% while Runner Runner gives America an even worse 9% making Australia the “winner.” The highest rated film was Australia’s Red 2 with a “Rotten” 42% while the lowest rated was America’s Runner Runner with a “Rotten” 9%.
