Dragon Age Inquisition: Character Creation

I would like to take everyone through the character creation process for Dragon Age: Inquisition which is one of the first things you’ll get up to, well it is the first thing you’ll be doing should you purchase the game. It’s quite a detailed process and actually has a lot of options for the player. As you’ll see in the video you can do quite a lot with the characters face before you start your game.

The first thing you’ll get up to is selecting your character and your class that you will play as. The class will determine the type of play style for your main character and will heavily impact on your entire game. When you’re selecting your class you can choose between being either a Rogue (Dual Weild or Archer), Warrior (two handed), weapon and shield or being in the Mage class.

You’ll then have to go through your preferred difficulty, depending on how good you are at these types of strategy games ,will likely determine what you’re comfortable with. I chose normal and am finding it a bit hard, but I don’t usually play these sorts of games so aren’t used to it. But it’s not impossible though, I’m still getting through the game slowly on normal difficulty.

After choosing all of the settings, you’ll end up with your character, I ended up with an Elf, you get a short loading screen and then are taken to the character creation area. I do believe it’s actually quite a detailed character creation process in this game and much more detailed than something you would get in say Destiny.

You are able to adjust head and ears, eyes, nose, mouth, jaw, face shape, complexion, eye colour and hair to name a few of the options. In the character creation for Dragon Age: Inquisition which I have recorded below, will take you through all of these options and you’ll see me go through them and slowly create my Elf character. The only issue I had with the character creation was the lack of voice options, there were two! Other than that I was quite impressed with this part of the game.

Here’s my character in the game. If you’re wondering about the clothes and things like that, you have to collect or craft them in the game and when you put them on you’ll see them on your character. So far I haven’t got so many items so I can’t detail them yet but may do another post soon regarding that once I get some better looking clothes or armor.
