Sony Pictures Releasing Australia has released a new trailer for The Social Reckoning, which is coming exclusively to cinemas on 8 October 2026.
The film is described as a companion piece to The Social Network. Its original screenplay by Aaron Sorkin is inspired by true events and the whistleblower behind a social media reckoning.
Mikey Madison plays Frances Haugen, a young Facebook engineer who enlists the help of Wall Street Journal reporter Jeff Horwitz, played by Jeremy Allen White. The pair embark on a dangerous journey that leads to the disclosure of the social network’s most closely guarded secrets.
The cast also includes Wunmi Mosaku, Betty Gilpin, Billy Magnussen, Bill Burr and Jeremy Strong. Aaron Sorkin wrote and directed the film.
